The Financial Insanity Continues!

In August of this year (2009) U.S. Treasury Secretary, Timothy Geithner asked congress to raise the 11.7 TRILLION dollar statutory federal debt spending limit to 12.1 TRILLION dollars. The congressional hogs complied. Four months later, as we approach January of 2010, congress is set to increase the statutory debt spending limit by nearly two TRILLION dollars to 14 TRILLION dollars. The statutory debt spending limit is nothing more than a giant unlimited credit card that congress authorizes to pay for government stuff (social programs, wars, earmarks, etc) on credit.  When congress runs out of the TRILLIONs of dollars that taxpayers pay on April 15th each year they just use the federal credit card to pay for all the government stuff not already paid for. Unlike Main Street American’s credit cards, the federal credit card has never had to worry about a spending limit because they (congress) can vote to increase the limit whenever they run out of April 15th taxpayer money.

For some perspective on the continued suicidal Congressional squandering of America’s financial future consider the following facts: In January of 2000 the national credit card spending limit was 5.9 TRILLION dollars; in January of 2005 it was 8.1 TRILLION dollars; in January of 2009 it was 11.3 TRILLION dollars; and, in January of 2010 it will most likely be 14 TRILLION dollars.

This generation of Main Street Americans is witnessing the premeditated, felony murder of our capitalist free market economy at the hands of collectivist political sociopaths from both sides of the political aisle. This is a 911 call to everyone who believes in financial responsibility, accountability and the American way of life. At the current rate of unsustainable federal debt accumulation we are less than one generation away from a financial and social Armageddon.

Wake up America! You still have one last chance to stop this madness with peaceful means by showing up at your polling place in 2010 and 2012 and throwing every single incumbent, regardless of party, out of office. If you miss this opportunity there will not be another. Live free or die!
