$550 million Hypocrite Jets

After eviscerating executives of the big three auto companies for flying corporate jets in the wake of the auto industry bankruptcy and bailout, the House of Representatives hypocrites approved the purchase of eight new jets at a price tag of $550 million for the Congressional flying stable. Even though the Pentagon had only requested funds for two new planes, their input was overridden by the House Appropriations Committee porkers who, true to their institutionally corrupt earmarking DNA, added additional funds for six more planes. This example of Congressional arrogance, condescension and a blatant disregard for economic sanity are a sneering, slap in the face of Main Street Americans trying to make ends meet in the “worst economy since the Great Depression”. Wake up America! The Congress of the United States is squandering the financial futures of your kids and grandkids. There are less than 500 days until the 2010 mid-term Congressional elections. The only way to stop the suicidal spending and end the rampant institutional corruption of Congress is to vote every single incumbent out of office. The economic survival of our great country is at stake. Do not shirk your duty as a citizen, a voter, a parent, or a grandparent. Throw the bums out!
