Congress Forgoes Pay Raise ---- in 2010!
What a bunch of arrogant, condescending asses! Congressional members voted to forego their pay raises for 2010 because of fear about angering constituents during the recession. Main Street Americans have a lot more to be angry with Congress about than pay raises. How about the two trillion dollars of taxpayer money that has already been spent? Tarp I $350 Billion; Tarp II $350 Billion; Stimulus Plan $879 Billion; Auto Bailout $13 Billion; $410 Billion Omnibus Spending with 9,000 earmarks. The incumbents in this Congress are the same people who got us into the worst economy since the Great Depression. They are in the process of spending our kids’ and grandkids’ futures into oblivion. Main Street Voters need to channel their anger into throwing every one of these pompous blowhards out of office in 2010.
