Limbaugh boosts "Throw Them All Out America" plan against Congressional Incumbents
Rush Limbaugh gave an inadvertent boost to the "Throw Them All Out America" plan to punish Congressional incumbents on his Tuesday, Feb. 24 radio program when he read a September 1999 New York Times article regarding the relaxing of mortgage standards for Fannie Mae Corporation that led to people getting home mortgages that we now know they could not afford to pay for. Rush ridiculed the 1999 policy changes as "Clinton administration pressure" on lenders. Rush went on to say "we...learned everything we know about the mortgage industry. Fannie Mae , Freddie Mac. Make loans to people who can't afford them." What Rush failed to mention is that Republicans had been in control of Congress from 1994 and would remain in control until the 2006 mid-term election. What did they do when they were in power to prevent the idiotic lending practices of Freddie and Fannie that led to the 2008 Financial Meltdown? Answer: NOTHING!. And what did Democrats do when they regained power in 2006 to prevent the financial collapse from happening? Answer: NOTHING! It is time for Main Street Americans to hold every incumbent Congressman and woman accountable for their ineptitude, stupidity and inaction in preventing the worst financial disaster since the great depression. Throw them all out America! Go to the throwthemalloutamerica.com website and find out how you can become one of 39 million voters to punish Congressional incumbents in 2010.
