Presidents propose, Congress disposes

Main Street Americans who are opposed to Congress squandering our nation's financial future should not allow their anger at Congress to be distracted by proposals made by the President. No major presidential proposal that directly effects our national economy ever gets enacted without the Congress. The President can propose a stimulus package but he has no constitutional power to implement it without Congress allocating the funds. The President can propose a federal budget but unless Congress approves it nothing gets spent. Don't "squander" your anger at Congress. Save it up and vote every incumbent out of office in 2010.
