Congress approves tax cheat as Secretary of the Treasury
The continued cultural and institutional corruption of Congress is once again on display as they approve a tax cheat as the Secretary of the Treasury. Once again corrupt Congressional values take precedence over Main Street Values. On Main Street you do not appoint an arsonist as your Fire Department Chief or put Bernie Madoff in charge of the Main Street Bank. But Congress feels free to violate the Main Street value to "Play by the rules." Why? Because they can! Remember Congress writes the rules for Main Street so if they don't like them applied to themselves they just ignore or change them. And they know their constituents will do nothing about it.
